From September 2024 to March 2026, our eVisa Digital Support Service provFrom September 2024 to March 2026, our eVisa Digital Support Service helped vulnerable residents across the West Midlands transition from physical Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) cards to the UK’s new eVisa system. The UK Government funded the project, and we delivered support across community venues in Smethwick, Birmingham, West Bromwich, and Oldbury. The project focused on digital inclusion and ensured digitally excluded residents could still access vital online immigration services.
We provided practical, one-to-one digital assistance to help people get online and manage their UKVI accounts. Support included creating and accessing eVisa profiles, generating share codes, updating personal information, uploading identification documents, and navigating the GOV.UK portal. Many people who accessed the service had low digital confidence or little experience using online systems. Face-to-face support gave them the confidence and guidance they needed.
As a mobile outreach service, we reached communities across the West Midlands and delivered support in trusted and accessible locations. More than 863 individuals accessed the service. The project also achieved a 5 out of 5 customer satisfaction score and received positive feedback from service users and partner organisations.
Following the success of the initial programme, the UK Government awarded Make More additional direct funding to continue the service until March 2026. This extension allowed us to support a further 205 individuals with accessing and managing their eVisa accounts and online immigration status.
