Are your students aged 16–18 and beginning to explore their future career options? If you’re a school looking to inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators and problem-solvers, this free Engineering Discovery Workshop provides students with an engaging introduction to the world of engineering through practical, hands-on learning.
Designed to spark curiosity and build confidence, this interactive workshop allows students to explore how engineers use creativity, science, technology and teamwork to solve real-world challenges. Through exciting engineering activities and design challenges, students will gain an insight into the skills, careers and opportunities available across one of the UK’s fastest-growing industries.
Developed alongside industry professionals, the workshop showcases the diverse opportunities available within engineering and highlights how engineering plays a vital role in shaping the future. Students will discover careers across sectors including aerospace, civil engineering, renewable energy, manufacturing, robotics, automotive, construction and advanced technology.
During the Engineering Discovery Workshop students will:
- Take part in practical engineering design and build challenges.
- Learn how engineers solve real-world problems through innovation.
- Explore different areas of engineering and the industries they support.
- Develop teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
